OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR (for Front Pillar) INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)


    1. A01KHT4E01

      Install the outer rear view mirror assembly with the 2 bolts (B) and 2 bolts (A).

      Torque:
      23 N*m  { 235 kgf*cm, 17 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Make sure that a retaining washer is installed to each bolt (B).

  2. INSTALL OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)

      Install the outer rear view mirror assembly with the 2 bolts (B) and 2 bolts (A).

      Torque:
      23 N*m  { 235 kgf*cm, 17 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Make sure that a retaining washer is installed to each bolt (B).

  3. INSTALL OUTER MIRROR COVER


    1. Engage the pin.

    2. Engage the 2 claws and 2 clips and install the outer mirror cover.

  4. INSTALL OUTER MIRROR BEZEL

      Engage the 4 claws and install the outer mirror bezel.

  5. INSTALL OUTER MIRROR GROMMET

      Slide the outer mirror grommet, in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration, to install it.

  6. INSTALL FRONT VALANCE PANEL

      Engage the claw and 3 guides.

    2. Engage the 2 pins and install the front valance panel.

  7. INSTALL FRONT WIPER SHAFT PACKING (for Driver Side)

      *a Lip Position

      Apply MP grease to the entire surface of the lip position.

      Tech Tips

      Make sure that the hole does not get clogged with MP grease and the grooves on the lip are filled with MP grease.

    2. Install the front wiper shaft packing.

  8. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM (for Driver Side)

      *a Wiper Pivot Serration

      Clean the wiper pivot serrations with a wire brush.

      Install the front wiper arm to the position shown in the illustration with the nut.

      Installation Position
      Area Measurement

      40 to 60 mm

      (1.575 to 2.362 in.)
      Torque:
      25 N*m  { 255 kgf*cm, 18 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Installation should be performed in the automatic stop position.

    3. Operate the wiper, check that the windshield moulding and the wiper blade do not interfere with each other.

  9. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP (for Driver Side)

      Engage the 3 claws and install the front wiper arm head cap.
