OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR (for Front Pillar) REMOVAL

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for both the RH and LH sides.


  • The procedure described below is for the LH side.


  1. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP (for Driver Side)

      *1 Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 3 claws and remove the front wiper arm head cap.

  2. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM (for Driver Side)

      Remove the nut and front wiper arm.

  3. REMOVE FRONT WIPER SHAFT PACKING (for Driver Side)

      Remove the front wiper shaft packing.

  4. REMOVE FRONT VALANCE PANEL

      *3 Guide

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 2 pins.

    2. Disengage the claw and 3 guides and remove the front valance panel.

  5. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR GROMMET

      Slide the outer mirror grommet, in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration, to remove it.

  6. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR BEZEL

      *1 Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 4 claws and remove the outer mirror bezel.

  7. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR COVER

      Disengage the 2 claws and 2 clips.

    2. Disengage the pin and remove the outer mirror cover.

  8. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)

      Remove the 2 bolts (A).

    2. Remove the 2 bolts (B) and outer rear view mirror assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Bolt (B) is held in place by a retaining washer.

  9. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)


    1. A01KFPNE01

      Remove the 2 bolts (A).

    2. Remove the 2 bolts (B) and outer rear view mirror assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Bolt (B) is held in place by a retaining washer.
