INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedures.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - BATTERY, BODY GROUND)

    Rear view of wire harness connector

    (to Combination Meter Assembly)

    1. Disconnect Connector C13 of the combination meter assembly.

    2. Disconnect Connector C14 of the combination meter assembly.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified condition
      C14-6 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      C13-28 - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
      C13-27 - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

    5. Reconnect the connectors of the combination meter assembly.
