AIRBAG ECU INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL AIR BAG ECU ASSEMBLY


    1. Check that the ignition switch turn OFF.

    2. Check that the battery negative terminal is disconnected.

      Note

      Do not start the operation for 90 seconds after removing the terminal.

    3. Temporarily install the airbag ECU assembly with the 3 bolts.

    4. Tighten the 3 bolts to the specified torque.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 200 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf }

    5. Connect the connector to the airbag computer assembly.

    6. Check that no play is identified.

  2. INSPECT AIR BAG ECU ASSEMBLY

  3. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN TUBE ASSEMBLY LOWER

    Torque:
    12 N*m  { 122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

  4. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY

    Torque:
    11.5 N*m  { 115 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf }

  5. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN TUBE LOWER

    Torque:
    8 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

  6. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
