INSTALL AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY

Turn the ignition switch off.
Check that the cable has been disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.
Note
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
Install the airbag ECU assembly with the 3 bolts.
Note
If the airbag ECU assembly has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case or connector, replace the assembly with a new one.
When installing the airbag ECU assembly, ensure that the SRS wiring does not interfere with or is not pinched between other parts.
When the ignition switch is first turned on (IG) after the airbag ECU assembly has been replaced, make sure that no one is in the vehicle.
Connect the ECU connector and lock it securely.
Note
When connecting the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
Check that the waterproof sheet is properly set.
Check that none of the installation parts of the airbag ECU assembly are loose.
INSTALL AIRBAG SENSOR COVER

Attach the 2 claws, and then attach the airbag sensor cover to the pedal bracket.
INSTALL LOWER STEERING COLUMN TUBE ASSEMBLY
Install the lower steering column tube assembly with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.
INSTALL NO.1 AIR DUCT

Install the No. 1 air duct with the 2 clips.
INSTALL STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY
Install the steering column assembly with the 4 bolts.
INSTALL LOWER STEERING COLUMN TUBE
Install the lower steering column tube with the 4 bolts.
Return the floor carpet to its original position.
INSTALL LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER
Install the steering column cover LWR with the clip and 2 screws.
INSTALL UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER
Install the steering column cover UPR with the 2 screws.
INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK
