AIRBAG ECU REMOVAL

  2. SEPARATE BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL

    Click here.

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (RHD STEERING POSITION TYPE)

  4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (LHD STEERING POSITION TYPE)

  5. TEST STEERING COLUMN COVER UPR

    1. Remove the 2 screws and steering column cover UPR.

  6. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER LWR

    1. Remove the clip, 2 screws and steering column cover LWR.

  7. SEPARATE STEERING COLUMN TUBE LOWER

      Turn the floor carpet off until the bolts holding the steering column tube lower can be seen.

    2. Remove the 4 bolts, separate the steering column tube lower from the body.

  8. SEPARATE STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 4 bolts, separate the steering column assembly from the steering column tube sub-assembly lower, and tilt it to the backside of the vehicle.

  9. REMOVE AIR DUCT NO. 1

      Remove the 2 clips and air duct No. 1.

  10. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN TUBE ASSEMBLY LOWER

      Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and steering column tube sub-assembly lower.

  11. REMOVE AIR BAG SENSOR COVER


    1. A01KF02

      Remove the 2 claws and airbag sensor cover from the pedal bracket assembly.

  12. REMOVE AIR BAG ECU ASSEMBLY


    1. A01KHQW

      Disconnect the connector of the airbag ECU assembly.

    2. Remove the 3 bolts and airbag ECU assembly from the pedal bracket assembly.
