STEERING PAD INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL HORN BUTTON ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the airbag connector and horn connector.

    2. Install the horn button after confirming that the circumference groove of the torx screws is caught on the screw case.

    3. Using a torx socket wrench, install the 2 screws.

      Torque:
      8.8 N*m  { 90 kgf*cm, 78 in.*lbf }

  2. INSPECT HORN BUTTON ASSEMBLY

    1. Stop the vehicle and face the tires straight ahead.

    2. Move the steering wheel gently up and down with your hand, check the steering wheel free play.

      Maximum free play
      40mm (1.57 in.)

  3. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
