AIRBAG SYSTEM SRS Warning Light does not Come ON

DESCRIPTION

The SRS warning light is located on the combination meter.

When the SRS is normal, the SRS warning light lights up for approx. 6 seconds after the ignition switch is turned from the LOCK position to ON position, and then turns off automatically.

If there is a malfunction is the SRS, the SRS warning light lights up to inform the driver of the abnormality.

When terminals Tc and CG of the DLC3 are connected, the DTC is displayed by blinking the SRS warning light.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK SOURCE VOLTAGE


    1. Connect negative (-) terminal cable to the battery.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Measure the voltage of the battery.

      OK
      Voltage: 10 - 14 V

  2. CHECK AIR BAG ECU ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait at least for 90 seconds.

    2. Connect the connectors of all the SRS components.

    3. Clear the DTC stored in memory Click here.

    4. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK, and wait at least for 20 seconds.

    5. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait at least for 60 seconds.

    6. Repeat operation in step (a) and (b) at least 5 times.

    7. Check the DTC Click here.

      OK
      DTC B1100/31 is not output.

      Codes other than code B1100/31 may be output at this time, but they are not relevant to this check.

  3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY-BATTERY)


    1. A01KGTGE01

      Connect negative (-) terminal cable to the battery, and turn the ignition switch to ON.

    2. Disconnect the connector from the combination meter.

    3. Disconnect the connector from the airbag ECU assembly.

    4. A01KHVBE01

      Measure the voltage between LA and body ground.

      Voltage: Below 1 V
