DESCRIPTION
The airbag sensor assembly No. 2 consists of the diagnosis circuit and frontal deceleration sensor, etc..
If receives signals from the frontal deceleration sensor, judges whether the SRS must be activated or not, and detects a diagnosis system malfunction.
DTC B1148/36 is recorded when occurrence of a malfunction in the airbag sensor assembly No. 2 is detected.

Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery, and wait at least for 2 seconds.
Turn the ignition switch to ON and wait at least for 20 seconds.
Clear the DTC stored in memory Click here.
Turn the ignition switch to LOCK, and wait at least for 20 seconds.
Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait at least for 60 seconds.
Check the DTC Click here.

CHECK AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY NO.2 CONNECTOR
Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait at least for 90 seconds.
Check the connection of the airbag sensor assembly No. 2 connector.

Disconnect the connector between the airbag ECU assembly and the airbag sensor assembly No. 2.
For the connector (on the airbag sensor assembly No. 2 side) between the airbag ECU assembly and the airbag sensor assembly No. 2, measure the resistance between VFR, EFR and body ground.

Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery, and wait at least for 2 seconds.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
For the connector (on the airbag sensor assembly No. 2 side) between the airbag ECU assembly and the airbag sensor assembly No. 2, measure the voltage between VFR, EFR and body ground.

Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait at least for 90 seconds.
Connect the connector to the airbag ECU assembly.
Using SST, connect VFR and EFR of the connector (on the airbag sensor assembly No. 2 side) between the airbag ECU assembly and the airbag sensor assembly No. 2.
Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery, and wait at least for 2 seconds.
Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait at least for 20 seconds.
Clear the DTC stored in memory Click here.
Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait at least for 60 seconds.
Check the DTC Click here.
