DESCRIPTION
The airbag ECU assembly consists of the G sensor, drive circuit, diagnostic circuit, and communication circuit, etc.
The airbag ECU assembly receives signals from the No. 2 airbag sensor assembly, and then determines to send the deployment signals to the SRS parts.
B1000/31 is recorded in the memory when a malfunction is detected in the airbag ECU assembly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
Tech Tips
If any other DTCs are indicated in addition to DTC B1000/31, perform troubleshooting and repairs for the other DTCs first.
Once the cause of the trouble has been eliminated, clear the DTCs which were stored during troubleshooting and then check for DTCs to confirm whether the system is sound Click here.
PROCEDURE
CHECK AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY
Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
Clear the DTCs Click here.
Turn the ignition switch off.
Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
Check for DTCs Click here.
