AIRBAG SYSTEM CHECK MODE PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK MODE (SIGNAL CHECK)

    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    4. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    5. Select "Signal Check", and perform the check using the intelligent tester.

      Note

      Select "SIGNAL CHECK" on "DTC CHECK" screen displayed on the intelligent tester to clear the DTCs (both present and past).

      Tech Tips


      • DTCs can be detected more sensitively in check mode than in normal diagnosis mode.

      • Perform the check mode inspection if a malfunction in the squib circuit is suspected, even if a normal system code was indicated in the normal diagnosis mode inspection.
