REMOVE PRESSURE PORT UNION
Remove the pressure port union.
Remove the O-ring from the pressure port union.
Remove the flow control valve.
Remove the flow control valve compression spring.
REMOVE POWER STEERING SUCTION PORT UNION
Remove the bolt and suction port union.
Remove the O-ring from the suction port union.
REMOVE VANE PUMP HOUSING REAR
Temporally install the pressure port union.
Using a press, press the pump housing rear down until the snap ring can be removed.
Using 2 screwdriver, remove the snap ring.
Tech Tips
Raise the snap ring with taper with the one of driver, and place another driver between snap ring and housing, then remove it.
Using compressed air, remove the pump housing rear, wave washer, side plate rear, cam ring, vane pump rotor, 10 vane plates and side plate front.
Remove the O-ring from the pump housing rear.
Remove the O-ring from the side plate rear.
Remove the 2 O-rings from the side plate front.
REMOVE VANE PUMP SHAFT WITH BEARING
Using a screwdriver, remove the snap ring.
Using 2 screwdrivers, remove the shaft along with the gear and bearing from the pump housing front.
Tech Tips
In case it is difficult to remove, tap the gear with a screwdriver and a hammer from the bearing side and remove the shaft.
REMOVE VANE PUMP HOUSING OIL SEAL
Using a screwdriver with vinyl tape wound around its tip and a hammer, remove the oil seal.
Note
Be careful not to damage the pump housing.
