VANE PUMP (for 1KD-FTV) INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL VANE PUMP


    1. Install a new vane pump O-ring onto the vane pump.

    2. A01KILIE01

      Install the vane pump with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      40 N*m  { 408 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not jam the vane pump O-ring.

    3. A01KHQT

      Connect the 2 connectors to the injection (supply) pump assembly.

    4. A01KFYLE01

      Connect the oil level sensor connector to the oil pan left side, then install the wire harness clamp onto the bracket.

    5. A01KHN5E01

      Connect the 3 connectors to the intake air connector and throttle body, then install the wire harness clamp to the bracket.

  2. CONNECT NO.1 OIL RESERVOIR TO PUMP HOSE


    1. A01KEG6J01

      Connect the No. 1 oil reservoir to pump hose with the clip.

  3. CONNECT PRESSURE FEED TUBE ASSEMBLY


    1. Install a new gasket onto the pressure feed tube assembly.

    2. A01KGUHJ01

      Connect the pressure feed tube assembly to the vane pump with the union bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 429 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Make sure that the anti-rotation plate of the pressure feed tube is in contact with the vane pump when connecting the pressure feed tube.

  4. INSTALL NO.3 AIR HOSE


    1. A01KERFE01

      Connect the No. 3 air hose with the 2 lamps.

    2. A01KHOME01

      Connect the vacuum hose with the clip.

  5. ADD POWER STEERING FLUID

  6. BLEED POWER STEERING FLUID

  7. INSPECT FOR POWER STEERING FLUID LEVEL

  8. INSPECT FOR FLUID LEAK
