REAR BRAKE (for Leading Trailing Shoe Type) REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

  2. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID

    Note

    Do not let brake fluid remain on a painted surface. Wash it off immediately.

  3. REMOVE REAR BRAKE DRUM

    Tech Tips

    If the brake drum cannot be removed easily, do the following steps.


    1. Insert a screwdriver through the hole in the backing plate, and hold the automatic adjusting lever away from the adjusting bolt.

    2. Using another screwdriver, reduce the brake shoe adjustment by turning the adjusting bolt.
