5L VANE PUMP REMOVAL

Note


  • When using a vise, do not overtighten.

  • When installing, coat the parts indicated by the arrows with power steering fluid Click here.


  1. REMOVE ENGINE SIDE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  2. DRAIN POWER STEERING FLUID

  3. SEPARATE OIL RESERVOIR TO PUMP HOSE NO.1


    1. Remove the clip and separate the oil reservoir to pump hose No.1.

      Note

      Take care not to spill fluid on the V belt.

  4. SEPARATE PRESSURE FEED TUBE ASSEMBLY

    1. Using a spanner (24 mm) to hold the pressure port union, remove the union bolt and gasket.

  5. REMOVE VANE PUMP V BELT

    1. Loosen the bolt and nut, remove the vane pump V belt.

  6. REMOVE VANE PUMP PULLEY

    1. Using SST, stop the pulley rotation and loosen the nut.

      SST
      09960-10010   ( 09962-01000, 09963-01000 )

    2. Remove the nut and vane pump pulley from the vane pump shaft.

  7. REMOVE VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the 2 bolts, nut and vane pump assembly.
