BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER REASSEMBLY


  1. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER KIT (W/O ABS)


    1. Place master cylinder in vise.

    2. Apply the lithium soap base glycol grease to new No.1 and No.2 piston sub-assembly.

    3. Install the No.2 and No.1 piston sub-assembly.

      Note


      • If the piston is inserted with angle the cylinder bore may be damaged.

      • If the piston is inserted with angle the cylinder bore may be damaged.

    4. A01KFQ2

      Push in the piston and install a new gasket and a new piston stopper bolt.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 100 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }
    5. A01KFB4

      Push in the piston and install the snap ring with snap ring pliers.

    6. Apply the lithium soap base glycol grease to a new O-ring and install the O-ring to the master cylinder.

  2. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER KIT (W/ ABS)


    1. Apply the lithium soap base glycol grease to a new No.1 and No.2 piston sub-assembly.

    2. Install the No.2 piston sub-assembly.

      Note


      • If the piston is inserted diagonally the cylinder bore may be damaged.

      • Be careful not to damage the rubber lips on the pistons.

    3. A01KFZC

      Using a screwdriver, while pushing the No.2 piston sub-assembly, install the straight pin.

    4. Install the No. 1 piston sub-assembly.

    5. A01KFB4

      Push in the piston and install the snap ring with snap ring pliers.

    6. Apply the lithium soap base glycol grease to a new O-ring and install the O-ring to the master cylinder.

  3. INSTALL MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR GROMMET


    1. Apply the lithium soap base glycol grease to a master cylinder reservoir grommets to it the master cylinder.

    2. Install the master cylinder union with the screw.
