2KD-FTV VACUUM PUMP DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE VACUUM PUMP UNION

    1. Using soft jaws on the vise, place vacuum pump in vise, and remove the union bolt, union and 2 gaskets.

  2. REMOVE CHECK VALVE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the check valve and gasket.

  3. REMOVE VACUUM PUMP BLADE A

    1. Remove the 3 bolts.

      Place the vacuum pump on vise, as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Do not tighten the vise.

    3. Using a pin punch and hammer, drive out the 2 straight pins.

    4. Remove the end cover and 2 O-rings.

      Remove the 5 blades and rotor.

  4. REMOVE VACUUM PUMP SHAFT

    1. Using soft jaws on the vise, clamp the gear in the vise.

    2. Remove the gear lock nut.

    3. Remove the gear and woodruff key.

      Using snap ring pliers, remove the snap ring.

    5. A01KFSF

      Using a plastic hammer, tap out the rotor shaft.

  5. REMOVE VACUUM PUMP BEARING

    1. Using a press and 17 mm socket wrench, press out the bearing.
