FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER (for Rigid Type) INSTALLATION


  1. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY FRONT LH

    1. Install the cushion retainer No. 2, shock absorber cushion and front shock absorber bush RH to the shock absorber assembly front LH.

    2. Install the shock absorber assembly front LH, cushion retainer No. 1, shock absorber cushion and cushion retainer No. 2, temporarily tighten new lock nut.

    3. Tighten the nut until the screw of the shock absorber protrudes.

      Standard thickness
      7.0 to 10.0 mm (0.2756 to 0.3937 in.)

    4. Install the retainer.

    5. A01KETS

      Temporarily tighten the bolt.

    6. Install the 9 clips and front fender apron to frame seal No. 1 LH.

  2. STABILIZE SUSPENSION


    1. Install the front wheel and jack down the vehicle.

      Torque:
      14 inch
      135 N*m  { 1377 kgf*cm, 100 ft.*lbf }
      15 inch
      170 N*m  { 1734 kgf*cm, 125 ft.*lbf }

    2. Bounce the vehicle up and down several times to stabilize the suspension.

  3. FULLY TIGHTEN SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY FRONT LH


    1. A01KETS

      Fully tighten the bolt.

      Torque:
      24 N*m  { 245 kgf*cm, 18 ft.*lbf }
