FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER (for Independent Type) INSTALLATION


  1. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY FRONT LH


    1. A01KHRX

      Install the cushion retainer No. 2 and shock absorber cushion.

    2. Install the shock absorber assembly front LH, cushion retainer No. 1, shock absorber cushion and cushion retainer No. 2, temporarily tighten new lock nut.

    3. Tighten the nut until the screw of the shock absorber protrudes.

      Standard thickness
      7.0 to 10.0 mm (0.2756 to 0.3937 in.)
    4. A01KF92

      Install the bolt and washer, temporarily tighten the nut.

  2. STABILIZE SUSPENSION


    1. Install the front wheel and jack down the vehicle.

      Torque:
      Full just low
      365 N*m  { 3722 kgf*cm, 269 ft.*lbf }
      Except full just low
      135 N*m  { 1377 kgf*cm, 100 ft.*lbf }

    2. Bounce the vehicle up and down several times to stabilize the suspension.

  3. FULLY TIGHTEN SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY FRONT LH


    1. A01KF92

      Fully tighten the bolt and nut.

      Torque:
      105 N*m  { 1071 kgf*cm, 77 ft.*lbf }
