FRONT LEAF SPRING REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL

  2. SUPPORT FRONT AXLE I BEAM


    1. Support the front axle I beam on jack.

  3. SEPARATE SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY FRONT LH

    1. Remove the bolt and retainer, and shock absorber assembly front LH.

    2. Remove the shock absorber cushion, cushion retainer No. 2 and front shock absorber bush RH from the shock absorber assembly front LH.

  4. SEPARATE FRONT SPRING ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01KFFM

      Remove the 4 nuts, 2 front shock absorber bracket U bolts, front spring bumper sub-assembly No. 1, front leaf spring caster wedge and front spring distance plate.

  5. REMOVE FRONT SPRING ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01KHKQ

      Remove the 3 nuts and 3 washers.

    2. A01KE9L

      Remove the spring bracket pin sub-assembly lock bolt.

    3. Remove the spring bracket pin sub-assembly, spring shackle No. 2, spring shackle sub-assembly No. 1, 6 front spring shackle bushes and front spring assembly LH.

  6. DISASSEMBLE LEAF SPRING

    1. Using a chisel and a hammer, pry up the spring clip.

      Hold the spring near the front spring center bolt in vise and remove the front spring center bolt and nut.

    3. LY225L - TBMDS (3), LY225R -TBMDS (3) RH side and Just low RH side:

      Remove the front spring leaf No. 1, front spring leaf No. 2, front spring leaf No. 3, front spring leaf No. 4, front spring silencer No. 2 and front leaf spring spacer No. 1.

    4. Except LY225L - TBMDS (3), LY225R - TBMDS (3) RH side and Just low RH side:

      Remove the front spring leaf No. 1, front spring leaf No. 2, front spring leaf No. 3, front spring leaf No. 4 and front leaf spring spacer No. 1.

  7. INSPECT LEAF SPRING


    1. Check the leaf spring for wear or damage.
