FRONT LEAF SPRING INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL LEAF SPRING


    1. LY225L - TBMDS (3), LY225R - TBMDS (3) RH side and Just low RH side:

      Align the leaf holes and secure the leaves, front spring silencer No. 2 and front leaf spring spacer No. 1 with a vise.

    2. Except LY225L - TBMDS (3), LY225R -TBMDS (3) RH side and Just low RH side:

      Align the leaf holes and secure the leaves and front spring spacer No. 1 with a vise.

    3. Install the front spring center bolt.

      Torque:
      49 N*m  { 500 kgf*cm, 36 ft.*lbf }
    4. A01KGP6

      Using a hammer, bend the spring clip into the position.

  2. INSTALL FRONT SPRING ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Install the 6 front spring shackle bushes.

    2. Install the spring shackle sub-assembly No. 1, spring shackle No. 2, 2 washers and 2 nuts to the front spring assembly and frame assembly.

      Torque:
      120 N*m  { 1225 kgf*cm, 89 ft.*lbf }

      Install the spring bracket pin sub-assembly lock bolt.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 185 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

    4. Install the spring bracket pin sub-assembly, washer and nut.

      Torque:
      120 N*m  { 1225 kgf*cm, 89 ft.*lbf }

  3. CONNECT FRONT SPRING ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01KFFM

      Install the front spring distance plate, front leaf spring caster wedge, front spring bumper sub-assembly No. 1, 2 front shock absorber bracket U bolts and 4 nuts.

      Torque:
      120 N*m  { 1225 kgf*cm, 89 ft.*lbf }

    2. Remove the jack.

  4. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY FRONT LH

  5. STABILIZE SUSPENSION


    1. Install the front wheel and jack down the vehicle.

      Torque:
      14 inch
      135 N*m  { 1377 kgf*cm, 100 ft.*lbf }
      15 inch
      170 N*m  { 1734 kgf*cm, 125 ft.*lbf }

    2. Bounce the vehicle up and down several times to stabilize the suspension.

  6. FULLY TIGHTEN SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY FRONT LH


    1. A01KF92

      Fully tighten the bolt and nut.

      Torque:
      105 N*m  { 1071 kgf*cm, 77 ft.*lbf }
