FRONT LOWER BALL JOINT INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL LOWER BALL JOINT ASSEMBLY FRONT LH


    1. Install 4 bolts and front lower ball joint assembly to the steering knuckle.

      Torque:
      57 N*m  { 581 kgf*cm, 42 ft.*lbf }

    2. Support the front suspension lower arm LH on jack.

    3. A01KIHR

      Install the lower arm to the steering knuckle, tighten new castle nut.

      Torque:
      140 N*m  { 1428 kgf*cm, 103 ft.*lbf }

    4. Install new cotter pin.

  2. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN FRONT SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER NO.1 LH

      Align the matchmarks on the camber adjust cam No. 2 and front suspension toe adjust cam sub-assembly, temporarily tighten with a bolt and nut.

  3. CONNECT STABILIZER BAR FRONT

  4. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY FRONT LH

  5. STABILIZE SUSPENSION


    1. Install the front wheel and jack down the vehicle.

      Torque:
      Full just low
      365 N*m  { 3722 kgf*cm, 269 ft.*lbf }
      Except full just low
      135 N*m  { 1377 kgf*cm, 100 ft.*lbf }

    2. Bounce the vehicle up and down several times to stabilize the suspension.
