DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER ASSEMBLY (for Ring Gear Size 10.5 inch) INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL REAR DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER ASSEMBLY


    1. Install a new gasket and the differential carrier assembly with the 4 nuts, 4 washers and 8 bolts.

      Torque:
      51 N*m  { 520 kgf*cm, 38 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the installation surface.

  2. INSTALL REAR AXLE SHAFT GASKET LH


    1. Install the rear axle shaft gasket LH.

  3. INSTALL REAR AXLE SHAFT GASKET RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.

  4. INSTALL REAR AXLE SHAFT LH

    1. Install the rear axle shaft LH.

    2. Install the 6 cone washers, washers and nuts.

      Torque:
      59 N*m  { 602 kgf*cm, 44 ft.*lbf }

  5. INSTALL REAR AXLE SHAFT RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.

  6. INSTALL REAR AXLE HOUSING DRAIN PLUG

  7. ADD DIFFERENTIAL OIL

  10. INSTALL REAR PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY
