DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER ASSEMBLY (for 2 Pinion Gear Type) REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE REAR AXLE HOUSING FILLER PLUG

  2. REMOVE REAR AXLE HOUSING DRAIN PLUG

    Click here

  3. DRAIN DIFFERENTIAL OIL

  4. REMOVE REAR AXLE SHAFT LH

      Remove the 6 nuts and washers.

    2. A01KIOM

      Using a brass bar and a hammer, remove the 6 cone washers.

    3. A01KGE9

      Install the 2 service bolts, and turn each by turns.

    4. Remove the rear axle shaft LH.

    5. Remove the 2 service bolts from the rear axle shaft LH.

  5. REMOVE REAR AXLE SHAFT RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.

  6. REMOVE REAR AXLE SHAFT GASKET LH


    1. Remove the rear axle shaft gasket LH.

  7. REMOVE REAR AXLE SHAFT GASKET RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.

  8. SEPARATE REAR PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY

  9. REMOVE REAR DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the 4 nuts, 4 washers, 8 bolts and rear differential carrier assembly.

      Note

      Be careful no to damage the removal surface.

    2. Remove the rear differential carrier gasket.
