COUNTER GEAR REASSEMBLY


  1. INSTALL COUNTER GEAR FRONT BEARING OR ROLLER


    1. A01KELOE01

      Using SST and a press, install a new counter gear front bearing to the counter gear.

      SST
      09515-10010
    2. A01KGX9E01

      Select a counter gear front bearing snap ring No. 2 that will allow minimum axial play.

      Standard clearance
      0.1 mm (0.0039 in.) or less
      Counter gear front bearing snap ring No. 2 thickness
      Mark Thickness
      1 2.05 to 2.10 mm (0.0807 to 0.0827 in.)
      2 2.10 to 2.15 mm (0.0827 to 0.0847 in.)
      3 2.15 to 2.20 mm (0.0847 to 0.0866 in.)
      4 2.20 to 2.25 mm (0.0866 to 0.0886 in.)
      5 2.25 to 2.30 mm (0.0886 to 0.0906 in.)
      6 2.30 to 2.35 mm (0.0906 to 0.0925 in.)
      7 2.35 to 2.40 mm (0.0925 to 0.0945 in.)
      8 2.40 to 2.45 mm (0.0945 to 0.0965 in.)
    3. A01KGXGE01

      Using a snap ring expander, install the counter gear front bearing snap ring No. 2 to the counter gear.

  2. INSTALL TRANSMISSION HUB SLEEVE NO.3


    1. A01KERJ

      Coat the counter shaft 5th gear with gear oil.

    2. Install the transmission hub sleeve No. 3 and the 3 clutch hub No. 3 synchromesh shifting keys to the counter shaft 5th gear.

      Tech Tips

      Do not set the transmission hub sleeve No. 3 and the clutch hub No. 3 synchromesh shifting key in incorrect orientation.

    3. Install the 2 synchromesh shifting key springs No. 3 to the clutch hub No. 3 synchromesh shifting key.

      Tech Tips

      Do not set both openings of the shifting key springs in the same position.

  3. INSTALL COUNTER 5TH GEAR BEARING


    1. A01KFJ9

      Coat the counter 5th gear bearing with gear oil, install it to the counter 5th gear.

  4. INSPECT COUNTER SHAFT 5TH GEAR RADIAL CLEARANCE


    1. A01KGCYE01

      Install the 5th gear bearing inner lace lock ball, 5th gear thrust washer and the counter shaft 5th gear assembly to the counter gear.

    2. Using a dial indicator, measure the counter shaft 5th gear radial clearance.

      Standard clearance
      0.008 to 0.034 mm (0.0003 to 0.00134 in.)
