MANUAL TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY REMOVAL


  1. SEPARATE BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY NO.2

  3. REMOVE EXHAUST FRONT PIPE ASSEMBLY NO.2


    1. A01KEJP

      Remove the 2 bolts and the 2 springs.

    2. A01KHAZ

      Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

    3. Disconnect the 2 muffler mounts and remove the exhaust front pipe assembly No. 2.

  4. REMOVE PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY REAR

    1. Place matchmarks on the propeller shaft flange and differential.

    2. Remove the 4 nuts, 4 bolts and washers.

    3. Remove the propeller shaft.

      Insert SST in the transmission to prevent oil leakage.

  5. SEPARATE WIRE HARNESS


    1. Separate the back-up lamp and speed sensor wire harness.

  6. SEPARATE FLOOR SHIFT CABLE TRANSMISSION CONTROL SHIFT


    1. A01KGOB

      Remove the nut.

    2. Using needle-nose pliers, remove the clip and disconnect the shift cable.

  7. SEPARATE FLOOR SHIFT CABLE TRANSMISSION CONTROL SELECT


    1. A01KHDC

      Remove the nut.

    2. Using needle-nose pliers, remove the clip and disconnect the select cable.

  8. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY


    1. Separate the starter connector.

    2. Remove the nut and the starter assembly.

  9. SEPARATE CLUTCH RELEASE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the 2 bolts and separate the clutch release cylinder assembly.

  10. SUPPORT MANUAL TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY


    1. Using a transmission jack, support the transmission assembly.

  11. SEPARATE ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR ASSEMBLY REAR


    1. A01KERK

      Remove the bolt, nut and separate the engine mounting insulator rear from the engine mounting bracket.

  12. REMOVE MANUAL TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY (5L ENGINE MODELS)


    1. A01KH9A

      Remove the 8 bolts and the transmission assembly.

  13. REMOVE MANUAL TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY (2KD-FTV ENGINE MODELS)


    1. A01KGE4

      Remove the 9 bolts and the transmission assembly.

  14. REMOVE ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR ASSEMBLY REAR


    1. A01KHZY

      Remove the nut and disconnect the shift cable link.

    2. A01KH18

      Remove the 4 bolts, engine mounting insulator rear and the shifting control assembly.
