SHIFT AND SELECT LEVER SHAFT ASSEMBLY REASSEMBLY


  1. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER SHAFT OIL SEAL


    1. A01KEPDE01

      Using SST, install a new oil seal until its surface is flush with the housing end surface.

      SST
      09950-60010   ( 09951-00290 )
      09950-70010   ( 09951-07100 )

    2. Apply MP grease to the oil seal lip.

  2. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER NO.2 SHAFT OIL SEAL

      Using SST, install a new oil seal until its surface is flush with the housing end surface.

      09950-70010   ( 09951-07100 )

    2. Apply MP grease to the oil seal lip.

  3. INSTALL NO. 1 REVERSE RESTRICT PIN

      Coat the No. 1 reverse restrict pin with gear oil.

    2. Install the spring to the No. 1 reverse restrict pin.

    3. Install the No. 1 reverse restrict pin and spring to the shift lever shaft housing.

  4. INSTALL REVERSE RESTRICT PIN SLOTTED SPRING PIN

      Using a pin punch (5 mm) and a hammer, install the slotted spring pin to the shift lever shaft housing.

  5. INSTALL SHIFT AND SELECT LEVER

      Coat the No. 1 select spring seat with gear oil.

    2. Install the shift and select lever, No. 1 select spring seat and 2 springs to the shift lever shaft housing.

  6. INSTALL SHIFT AND SELECT LEVER SHAFT

      Coat the shift and select lever shaft with gear oil.

    2. Install the shift and select lever shaft to the shift lever shaft housing.

    3. A01KGS8

      Using a pin punch (5 mm) and a hammer, install the shift lever shaft set slotted pin to the shift and select lever shaft.

  7. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER BOOT

      Install the shift lever boot to the shift lever shaft housing.

  8. INSTALL NO. 1 SHIFT OUTER LEVER

      Install the No. 1 shift outer lever to the shift and select lever shaft.

  9. INSTALL NO. 2 LEVER LOCK PIN

      Install the No. 2 lever lock pin, washer and nut to the No. 1 shift outer lever.

      Torque:
      12 N*m  { 117 kgf*cm, 8.5 ft.*lbf }

  10. INSTALL SELECT LEVER SHAFT

      Coat the select lever shaft with gear oil, and install it to the shift lever shaft housing.

  11. INSTALL SELECT OUTER LEVER

      Install the select outer lever and washer to the select lever shaft.

  12. INSTALL SELECT OUTER LEVER LOCK PIN

      Install the select outer lever lock pin, washer and nut to the select outer lever.

      Torque:
      7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }
