SHIFT AND SELECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL FLOOR SHIFT CABLE TRANSMISSION CONTROL SHIFT AND SELECT


    1. Pull in the shift and select cable to the floor.

      Install the shift cable to the lever with the nut.

      Torque:
      12 N*m  { 122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

    3. Install the shift cable to the bracket with the clip.

      Install the select cable to the lever with the nut.

      Torque:
      12 N*m  { 122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

    5. Install the shift cable to the bracket with the clip.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 183 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

      Install the shift and select cable to the clamp with the bolt.

      Torque:

      Install the shift and select cable to the clamp with the bolt.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 183 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

      Install the shift and select cable to the clamp with the bolt.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 183 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

    11. Install the shift and select cable to the clamp.

    12. Install the shift and select cable to the grommet.

      Install the grommet to the floor with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.0 N*m  { 71 kgf*cm, 62 in.*lbf }

      Install the select cable to the shift lever retainer with the clip.

    15. Install the select cable to the floor shift assembly with the clip.

    16. A01KHQG

      Install the shift cable to the shift lever retainer with the clip.

    17. Temporarily install the shift cable to the floor shift assembly with the nut.

  2. INSPECT AND ADJUST SHIFT LEVER POSITION


    1. When the shift lever is in N range, check that the shift lever is vertical to the installation surface for the floor shift assembly.

      Remove the nut, and disconnect the shift cable from the floor shift assembly.

    3. Remove the clip, and disconnect the select cable from the floor shift assembly.

    4. Loosen the lock nut, adjust the shift lever range by turning the ball joint.

    5. Install the select cable to the floor shift assembly with the clip.

    6. Install the shift cable to the floor shift assembly with the nut.

      Torque:
      12 N*m  { 122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

    7. Tighten the lock nut.

      Torque:
      12.7 N*m  { 130 kgf*cm, 9.4 ft.*lbf }

    8. After adjustment, check the following.


      1. The shift lever is vertical to the installation surface for the floor shift assembly.

      2. Shift to each range can be done securely.

      3. When select or shift the shift range, no abnormal force is required.

      4. When select the shift range, the shift lever should return N range smoothly.

      5. No abnormal noise is heard during operation.
