CLUTCH UNIT REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE MANUAL TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY


  2. REMOVE CLUTCH RELEASE BEARING ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE CLUTCH RELEASE FORK BOOT

  4. REMOVE CLUTCH RELEASE FORK SUB-ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE CLUTCH COVER ASSEMBLY

      Place the matchmarks on the clutch cover with the one on the flywheel.

    2. Loosen each set bolt one turn at a time until spring tension is released.

    3. Remove the set bolts, and pull off the clutch cover.

      Note

      Do not drop the clutch disc.

  6. REMOVE CLUTCH DISC ASSEMBLY

    Note

    Keep the lining part of the clutch disc assembly, the pressure plate and surface of the flywheel away from oil and foreign attachment.

  7. INSPECT INPUT SHAFT BEARING

      Turn the bearing by hand while applying force in the rotation direction.

      If the bearing sticks or has much resistance, replace the input shaft bearing.

      Tech Tips

      The bearing is permanently lubricated and requires no clearing or lubrication.

  8. REMOVE INPUT SHAFT BEARING


    1. A01KIPBE02

      Remove the 2 bolts at diametrically opposite points.

    2. Using SST, remove the input shaft bearing.
