SHIFT AND SELECT LEVER SHAFT ASSEMBLY REASSEMBLY


  1. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER SHAFT OIL SEAL


    1. A01KEPDE02

      Using SST and a hammer, install a new shift lever shaft oil seal from the shift lever shaft housing assembly.

      SST
      09950-60010   ( 09951-00290 )
      09950-70010   ( 09951-07100 )
      Drive in depth
      -0.5 to 0.5 mm (-0.0197 to 0.0197 in.) from housing end

    2. Apply MP grease thinly to the lip of the shift lever shaft oil seal.

  2. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER NO.2 SHAFT OIL SEAL


    1. A01KFSQE01

      Using SST and a hammer, install a new shift lever No. 2 shaft oil seal to the shift lever shaft housing assembly.

      09950-70010   ( 09951-07100 )
      Drive in depth
      0 to 0.8 mm (0 to 0.0315 in.) from housing end

    2. Apply MP grease thinly to the lip of the shift lever No. 2 shaft oil seal.

  3. INSTALL REVERSE RESTRICT PIN NO.1


    1. A01KHJ9

      Apply gear oil to the reverse restrict pin No. 1.

    2. Install the reverse restrict pin compression spring to the reverse restrict pin No. 1.

    3. Install the reverse restrict pin No. 1 to the shift lever shaft housing assembly.

  4. INSTALL REVERSE RESTRICT PIN SLOTTED SPRING PIN

      Using pin punch (5 mm) and a hammer, install the reverse restrict slotted pin to the shift lever shaft housing assembly.

      Reference value
      Until the end surface of the shift lever shaft housing.

  5. INSTALL SHIFT & SELECT LEVER

      Apply gear oil to the select spring seat No. 1.

    2. Install the shift & select lever, 2 springs and the select spring seat No. 1 to the shift lever shaft housing assembly.

  6. INSTALL SHIFT & SELECT LEVER SHAFT


    1. A01KFHQ

      Apply gear oil to the sliding part of the shift & select lever shaft and install it to the shift lever shaft housing assembly.

    2. A01KI08

      Using a pin punch (5 mm) and a hammer, install the shift lever shaft slotted pin to the shift lever shaft housing assembly.

  7. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER BOOT

      Apply MP grease thinly to the shift lever boot and install it to the shift lever shaft housing assembly.

  8. INSTALL SHIFT OUTER LEVER NO.1


    1. A01KI92

      Install the shift outer lever No. 1 to the shift lever shaft housing assembly.

  9. INSTALL LEVER LOCK PIN NO.2


    1. Install the shift lever lock pin No. 2 to the shift lever shaft housing assembly.

    2. Using a brass bar and a hammer, install the shift lever lock pin No. 2.

    3. A01KEA5

      Install the washer and nut to the shift lever lock pin No. 2.

      Torque:
      11.5 N*m  { 117 kgf*cm, 8.5 ft.*lbf }

  10. INSTALL SELECT LEVER SHAFT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01KG11

      Apply gear oil to the select lever shaft, and install it to the shift lever shaft housing assembly.

  11. INSTALL SELECT OUTER LEVER


    1. A01KGCT

      Install the select outer lever and the washer to the shift lever shaft housing assembly.

  12. INSTALL SELECT OUTER LEVER LEVER LOCK PIN


    1. A01KHD4

      Install the select outer lever lock pin to the shift lever shaft housing assembly.

    2. Using a brass bar and a hammer, install the select outer lever lock pin.

    3. Install the washer and nut to the select outer lever lock pin.

      Torque:
      7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }
