STARTER (for 2.0 kW Type) DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE STARTER YOKE ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the nut and disconnect the terminal C wire.

    2. A01KELS

      Remove the 2 bolts and starter yoke assembly with the armature assembly.

    3. Remove the O-ring.

  2. REMOVE MAGNET STARTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. A01KHGB

      Remove the starter drive housing assembly, 2 starter pinions, retainer, 5 clutch rollers, return spring and magnet starter switch assembly.

      Using a magnetic finger, remove the steel ball.

  3. REMOVE STARTER BRUSH HOLDER ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the 2 screws and end cover from the field frame.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the field frame.

    3. A01KH8V

      Using a screwdriver, hold the spring back and disconnect the brush.

    4. Disconnect the 4 brushes and remove the brush holder.

  4. REMOVE STARTER ARMATURE ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE STARTER BEARING

    1. Using SST, remove the bearing.

  6. REMOVE STARTER BEARING

    1. Using SST, remove the bearing.

  7. REMOVE STARTER TERMINAL KIT

    1. Remove the 3 nuts, lead clamp, end cover, gasket and plunger.

    2. Using SST, loosen the terminal nuts.

    3. Remove the terminal C kit parts.

    4. Remove the terminal 30 kit parts.
