STARTER (for 2.7 kW Type) DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE STARTER YOKE ASSEMBLY

    *1 Terminal C

    1. Remove the nut and disconnect the terminal C wire.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and starter yoke assembly with the starter armature assembly.

    3. Remove the felt washer.

  2. REMOVE MAGNET STARTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the 3 screws and magnet starter switch assembly.

    2. Remove the starter drive housing ,starter clutch sub-assembly, return spring, starter idle pinion, retainer and 5 clutch rollers.

      *1 Magnetic finger

      Using a magnetic finger, remove the steel ball.

  3. REMOVE STARTER BRUSH HOLDER ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the 2 screws and end cover.

    2. Using a screwdriver, hold the spring back and disconnect the brush.

    3. Disconnect the 4 brushes and remove the brush holder.

  4. REMOVE STARTER ARMATURE ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE STARTER BEARING (Front)

    1. Using SST, remove the bearing.

  6. REMOVE STARTER BEARING (Rear)

    1. Using SST, remove the bearing.

  7. REMOVE STARTER TERMINAL KIT

    1. Remove the 3 nuts, end cover, gasket and plunger.

    2. Using SST, loosen the terminal nuts.

    3. Remove the terminal C kit parts.

    4. Remove the terminal 30 kit parts.
