OIL PUMP REMOVAL


  1. DRAIN ENGINE OIL

  2. REMOVE TIMING BELT

  3. REMOVE CAMSHAFT TIMING PULLEY

    Click here

  4. REMOVE TIMING BELT NO.2 COVER

  5. REMOVE VACUUM PUMP ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the 2 nuts and vacuum pump.

    2. Remove 2 the O-rings.

  6. DISCONNECT VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  7. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY

      Using SST, remove the pulley bolt and plate.

      Using SST, remove the crankshaft pulley.

  8. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY


    1. A01KHKO

      Remove the 5 bolts and alternator with belt tensioner assembly.

  9. REMOVE WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the 5 bolts, 2 nuts, water pump and gasket.

  10. REMOVE CRANK POSITION SENSOR

  11. REMOVE CRANK POSITION NO.2 SENSOR

  12. REMOVE INJECTION PUMP ASSEMBLY

  13. REMOVE ENGINE OIL LEVEL SENSOR

  14. REMOVE STIFFENER PLATE RH (MTM)

  15. REMOVE STIFFENER PLATE LH (MTM)

  16. REMOVE CYLINDER BROCK INSULATOR NO.4

  17. REMOVE REAR END PLATE

  18. REMOVE OIL PAN SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the 22 bolts and 2 nuts.

      *1 Oil Pan Seal Cutter

      Using an oil pan seal cutter, remove the oil pan.

      Note


      • The operation should be done slowly so as not to deform the flange of the oil pan.

      • Do not push it into the timing gear case.

  19. REMOVE TIMING GEAR CASE


    1. Remove the bolt, nut and washer and disconnect the vacuum pipe.

    2. Remove the 14 bolts and 2 nuts.

      Using a screwdriver, pry out the timing gear cover.

      Note

      Be careful not to drop the injection pump gear.

      Remove the O-ring from the timing belt cover.

      Remove the crank position sensor plate.

  20. REMOVE TIMING GEAR COVER OIL SEAL (Injection Pump)

      Using a screwdriver and hammer, tap out the oil seal.

  21. REMOVE TIMING GEAR COVER OIL SEAL (Crankshaft Front)

  22. REMOVE INJECTION GEAR

  23. REMOVE IDLE GEAR THRUST PLATE

      Secure the idler sub-gears to the idler gear with a service bolt.

      Thread diameter 6 mm
      Thread pitch 1.0 mm
      Bolt length 28.0 mm (1.10 in.)

      Remove the 2 bolts, thrust plate, idler gear assembly and idler gear shaft.

  24. REMOVE IDLE GEAR NO.1

  25. REMOVE IDLE GEAR SHAFT NO.1

  26. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT TIMING GEAR OR SPROCKET

      Using SST, remove the crankshaft pulley.

  27. REMOVE TIMING GEAR CASE ASSEMBLY (Oil Pump Assembly)

      Remove the 8 bolts and union bolt.

    2. Using a screwdriver, pry out the oil pump assembly.

    3. Remove the gasket.

    4. Remove the stud bolt.

    5. Remove the 2 O-rings.
