REMOVE TIMING GEAR CASE OR TIMING CHAIN CASE OIL SEAL

There are 2 methods ((a) and (b)) to remove the oil seal.
If the rear oil seal retainer is removed from the cylinder block:
Using a screwdriver and hammer, tap out the oil seal.

If the oil pump is installed to the cylinder block:
Using a knife, cut off the oil seal lip.
Using a screwdriver, pry out the oil seal.
Note
Be careful not to damage the crankshaft. Tape the screwdriver tip.
REMOVE OIL PUMP RELIEF VALVE

Place the timing belt case on wooden blocks.
Note
Be careful not to damage the timing pointer.

Using a 12 mm hexagon wrench, remove the plug, gasket, spring and relief valve.
REMOVE OIL PUMP DRIVE GEAR
Remove the 8 screws, pump body cover, the drive and driven rotors.
