OIL PUMP REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE INJECTION PUMP ASSEMBLY

  2. DRAIN ENGINE OIL

  3. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY NO.1

  4. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY NO.2

  5. SEPARATE HEATER WATER INLET HOSE A (W/ HEATER)

  6. REMOVE CAMSHAFT TIMING PULLEY

      Using SST to fix the camshaft timing pulley, remove the pulley set bolt.

    2. A01KFVBE01

      Using SST, remove the camshaft timing pulley.

      09950-50013   ( 09951-05010, 09952-05010, 09953-05010, 09954-05021 )

      Note

      Lubricate the tip and threads of the center bolt before use.

      Tech Tips

      Screw the pulley bolt into the camshaft by 5 to 6 threads when use.

  7. REMOVE TIMING BELT NO.2 COVER

  8. REMOVE WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 6 bolts, water pump and gasket.

  9. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT TIMING PULLEY

      If the pulley cannot be removed by a screwdriver, use SST to remove the timing pulley.

  10. REMOVE TIMING BELT IDLER SUB-ASSEMBLY NO.1


    1. A01KG47E01

      Remove the 2 bolts (A and B).

    2. Loosen the bolt (C), and remove the idler pulley.

  11. REMOVE TIMING BELT IDLER SUB-ASSEMBLY NO.2


    1. Remove the bolt, idler pulley and spacer.

  12. REMOVE STIFFENER PLATE RH(MTM)

  13. REMOVE STIFFENER PLATE RH(ATM)

  14. REMOVE CYLINDER BLOCK INSULATOR NO.4

  15. REMOVE STIFFENER PLATE LH(MTM)

  16. REMOVE STIFFENER PLATE LH(ATM)

  17. REMOVE CYLINDER BLOCK INSULATOR NO.5

  18. DISCONNECT TIE ROD END SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (INDEPENDENT FRONT SUSPENSION)

  19. DISCONNECT TIE ROD END SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (INDEPENDENT FRONT SUSPENSION)

  22. REMOVE FRONT SPRING BUMPER NO.1 (INDEPENDENT FRONT SUSPENSION)


    1. Remove the nut and front spring bumper No.1 RH and LH.

  23. DISCONNECT STEERING TORQUE SHAFT ASSEMBLY (INDEPENDENT FRONT SUSPENSION)


    1. Remove the 3 bolts, steering link protector UPR and steering link protector LWR.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts.

      Shift the sliding yoke and place the matchmarks to the sliding yoke and steering gear.

    4. Remove the bolt.

      Shift the torque shaft and place the matchmarks to the torque shaft and bevel gear.

    6. Remove the torque shaft.

  24. DISCONNECT PRESSURE FEED TUBE ASSEMBLY (INDEPENDENT FRONT SUSPENSION))

    1. Remove the union bolt and gasket, and disconnect the feed tube.

  25. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER ASSEMBLY (INDEPENDENT FRONT SUSPENSION)


    1. Remove the front stabilizer cover RH and LH.

    2. Disconnect the front shock absorber assembly RH and LH at the lower arm part.

    3. Using an engine lifter to hold the front suspension member assembly, remove the 4 bolts.

    4. Remove the front stabilizer bar, power steering gear assembly, lower arm RH and LH, and front suspension member assembly all together.

  26. REMOVE OIL PAN SUB-ASSEMBLY

      *1 Oil Pan Seal Cutter

      Using an oil pan seal cutter, remove the oil pan.

      Note


      • The operation should be done slowly so as not to deform the flange of the oil pan.

      • Do not push it into the timing gear case.

  27. REMOVE OIL STRAINER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts, oil strainer and gasket.

  28. REMOVE TIMING GEAR CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 5 bolts, timing gear case and gasket.
