INSTALL OIL PUMP DRIVE GEAR

Place the timing belt case on wooden blocks (See step Click here).
Note
Be careful not to damage the timing pointer.
Insert the drive and driven rotors into timing belt case with the marks facing the oil pump cover side.

Apply adhesive to 2 or 3 threads of the screws.

Install the oil pump cover with the 8 screws.
INSTALL OIL PUMP RELIEF VALVE
Insert the relief valve and spring into the installation hole of the timing belt case.
| *1 | 12 mm Hexagon Wrench |
Using a 12 mm hexagon wrench, install a new gasket and the plug.
INSTALL TIMING GEAR CASE OR TIMING CHAIN CASE OIL SEAL
Tech Tips
There are 2 methods (A and B) to install the oil seal.
If the oil pump is removed from the cylinder block:
Using SST and a hammer, tap in a new oil seal to the depth of 0.5 mm (0.020 in.) from the oil pump case edge.
Apply MP grease to the oil seal lip.
If the oil pump is installed to the cylinder block:
Apply MP grease to a new oil seal lip.
Using SST and a hammer, tap in the oil seal to the depth of 0.5 mm (0.020 in.) from the oil pump case edge.
