EXHAUST PIPE (w/o DPF) INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY


    1. A01KEXT

      Inspect the compression spring.


      1. Using vernier calipers, measure the free length of the compression spring.

        Minimum length
        40.5 mm (1.594 in.)

        If the free length is less than the minimum, replace the compression spring.

      *1 New Gasket

      Fully insert a new gasket into the turbine outlet elbow by hand.

      Note


      • Install the gasket in the correct direction.

      • Do not damage the outer surface of the gasket.

      • Do not reuse the gasket.

      • Do not push in the gasket with the front exhaust pipe when connecting it.

    3. Using a wooden block, uniformly strike the gasket so that the gasket and the turbine outlet elbow are properly fitted.

    4. Install the 2 hungers and front exhaust pipe.

    5. Install the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs.

      Torque:
      43 N*m  { 439 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf }
  2. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (w/ Front No. 2 Exhaust Pipe)


    1. Install a new gasket.

    2. Install the hanger and front No. 2 exhaust pipe.

    3. Install the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      43 N*m  { 439 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf }
  3. INSTALL CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY


    1. Install a new gasket.

    2. Install the 2 hangers and center exhaust pipe.

    3. Install new 2 nuts and 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      43 N*m  { 439 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf }
  4. INSTALL TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY


    1. Install a new clamp to the tail exhaust pipe.

    2. Install a new gasket.

      Install the tail exhaust pipe with the new 4 nuts, nut and 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      43 N*m  { 439 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf, for A }
      19 N*m  { 194 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf, for B }

      Tech Tips

      If the 2 nuts on the lower side of the support cushion have been removed, install them on the lower side of the support cushion.

  5. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK
