FUEL INJECTION PUMP REMOVAL


  1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (w/ ACSD)

  2. REMOVE TIMING BELT

  3. REMOVE INJECTION PUMP DRIVE PULLEY


    1. Using SST, remove the injection pump drive pulley installation nut.

    2. Using SST, remove the injection pump drive pulley.

      SST
      09950-50013   ( 09951-05010, 09952-05010, 09953-05010, 09954-05010 )

      Note

      The tip and threads of the center bolt 100 should be coated with lubricant.

  4. DISCONNECT CONNECTOR


    1. w/ EGR:

      Disconnect the throttle position sensor connector.

    2. w/ TCV:

      Disconnect the connector for the timing control valve and fuel cut solenoid.

    3. w/ TCV:

      Disconnect the connector for the engine speed sensor.

    4. w/o TCV:

      Disconnect the connector for the fuel cut solenoid and pickup sensor.

    5. Disconnect the accelerator link from the injection pump.

    6. Disconnect the fuel inlet hose from the fuel inlet pipe.

    7. Disconnect the 2 fuel return hoses from the fuel return pipe.

    8. W/ A/C:

      Disconnect the vacuum hose from the idle-up actuator.

    9. w/ACSD:

      Disconnect the 2 water bypass hoses from the thermo wax.

  5. REMOVE THROTTLE CONTROL CABLE SUPPORT

  6. REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

  7. REMOVE THROTTLE CABLE BRACKET

  8. REMOVE ACCELERATOR LINK ASSEMBLY NO.2

  9. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY

  10. REMOVE INJECTION PIPE SET

    Click here

  11. DISCONNECT FUEL HOSE NO.1

  12. DISCONNECT FUEL HOSE NO.2

  13. DISCONNECT FUEL HOSE

  14. REMOVE FUEL FILTER TO INJECTION PUMP FUEL PIPE


    1. Remove the union bolt, return pipe and 2 gasket.

    2. Remove the bolt for the pipe clamp.

    3. Remove the union bolt, inlet pipe and 2 gaskets.

  15. REMOVE INJECTION PUMP STAY NO.1


    1. A01KFAC

      Remove the 4 bolts and injection pump stay.

  16. REMOVE INJECTION PUMP ASSEMBLY


    1. A01KIIR

      Remove the 2 nuts and injection pump.

      Note


      • Do not hold or carry the injection pump by the adjusting lever.

      • w/ HAC:

        Do not put the injection pump at an angle of more than 45°from the horizontal.

  17. REMOVE IDLE UP ACTUATOR SET (w/ A/C)


    1. w/ ACSD:

      Remove the idle-up actuator.

    2. w/o ACSD:

      Using a 5 mm hexagon wrench, remove the 2 bolts and idle-up actuator.
