EGR COOLER (w/ DPF) INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT NO. 2 EGR VALVE ASSEMBLY


    1. A01KEKZE02

      Apply vacuum and check that the rod of the No. 2 EGR valve operates as shown in the illustration. If the rod does not operate, replace the No. 2 EGR valve.

    2. When a vacuum of 59 kPa (443 mmHg, 17 in.Hg) is applied to the diaphragm chamber, check that the valve turns and air flows out.

  2. INSPECT NO. 3 VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      1 - 2 20°C 33 to 39 Ω

      Check operation of the No. 3 vacuum switching valve assembly.


      1. Check that air flows from port E to the filter.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the No. 3 vacuum switching valve assembly.

      2. Apply battery voltage across the terminals.
