FUEL FILTER REMOVAL


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE FUEL FILTER

      Disconnect the 2 fuel hoses.

    2. A01KH8I

      Disconnect the level warning switch connector.

    3. A01KEL2

      Disconnect the fuel heater connector (w/ Fuel Heater).

    4. A01KFGR

      Disconnect the clogging switch connector (w/ Clogging Switch).

    5. A01KIIT

      Loosen the fuel filter drain plug to drain fuel.

    6. Tighten the fuel filter drain plug.

      Remove the 2 bolts and remove the fuel filter.

    8. A01KFEC

      Remove the 2 screws and remove the fuel heater assembly (w/ Fuel Heater).

  3. REMOVE FUEL FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the harness clamp of the level warning switch from the fuel filter cap.

    2. Clamp the fuel filter cap of the fuel filter in a vise.

      Using a water pump plier, remove the level warning switch.

    4. A01KIGEE01

      Using a SST, remove the fuel filter element sub-assembly.
