FUEL INJECTOR ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

Note

When replacing the injectors, it is necessary to replace injection pipes, as well.


  1. INSPECT INJECTORS


    1. Disconnect the 4 injector connectors.

    2. Inspect the injector resistance.

        *1 Ohmmeter

        Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminals in the illustration.

        Resistance
        2.5 to 3.1 Ω at 20°C (68°F)

        If the resistance is not as specified, replace the injector Click here.

        *1 Ohmmeter
        *a No Continuity

        Using an ohmmeter, check that there is no continuity between the injector terminal and body ground in the illustration.

        If there is continuity, replace the injector Click here.

    3. Inspect the correction resistance.

        *1 Ohmmeter

        Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminals in the illustration.

        Resistance
        30 to 9600 Ω at 20°C (68°F)
        If the resistance is not as specified, replace the injector (See page Click here).

    4. Reconnect the 4 injector connectors.
