Note
When the ECM is replaced, all of the existing injector compensation codes must be input into the new ECM and the learning value of the supply pump assembly must be initialized.
INSTALL ECM COVER (w/ Heater)
Clean the ECM surface.
Using a heat light, heat the ECM.
Remove the double-side tape from the ECM.
Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.
Install a new ECM cover.
INSTALL ECM (w/ Heater)
Install the No. 1 ECM bracket with the 2 screws.
Install the No. 2 ECM bracket with the 2 screws.
Connect the 6 connectors to the ECM.
Install the ECM with the 3 screws.
INSTALL ECM (w/o Heater)
Install the No. 2 ECM bracket to the ECM with the 2 screws.
Install the No. 1 ECM bracket to the ECM with the 2 screws.
Connect the 6 ECM connectors.
Install the ECM with No. 1 ECM bracket and No. 2 ECM bracket to the instrument panel reinforcement with the 2 bolts.
Note
If a component has been dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace the ECM.
INSTALL LOWER CENTER INSTRUMENT COVER (w/ Heater)
Attach the 3clips to install the lower center instrument cover.
Install the 2clips and 2bolts.
INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT COVER (w/ Heater)
Attach the 5clips to install the lower instrument cover.
Install the clip and bolt.
INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY (w/o Heater)
Engage the 2 claws to install the glove compartment door assembly to the instrument panel sub-assembly.
Install the 5 screws.
CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
REGISTRATION INJECTOR COMPENSATION CODE
Note
Register the injector compensation code of the fuel injector when the ECM is replaced.
