ECM INSTALLATION

Note

When the ECM is replaced, all of the existing injector compensation codes must be input into the new ECM and the learning value of the supply pump assembly must be initialized.

INSTALL ECM (w/ Heater)
1. Install ECM bracket No. 1 with the 4 screws.
  
  Torque:
  
  3.0 N*m { 31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf }
2. Install ECM bracket No. 2 with the 4 screws.
  
  Torque:
  
  3.0 N*m { 31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf }
3. Install the turbo motor driver with the nut.
  
  Torque:
  
  8.0 N*m { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }
4. Install the ECM with the 4 screws.
  
  Torque:
  
  3.0 N*m { 31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf }
5. Connect the 5 connectors.
INSTALL ECM (w/o Heater)
1. Install ECM bracket No. 1 with the 2 screws.
  
  Torque:
  
  3.0 N*m { 31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf }
2. Install ECM bracket No. 2 with the 2 screws.
  
  Torque:
  
  3.0 N*m { 31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf }
3. Install the turbo motor driver with the nut.
  
  Torque:
  
  8.0 N*m { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }
4. Connect the 5 connectors.
5. Install the ECM with the 2 bolts.
  
  Torque:
  
  8.0 N*m { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }
INSTALL INSTRUMENT COVER LOWER CENTER (w/ Heater)
1. Engage the 3 clips.
2. Install the instrument cover lower center with the 2 clips and 2 bolts.
INSTALL INSTRUMENT COVER LWR (w/ Heater)
1. Engage the 5 clips.
2. Install the instrument cover LWR with the clip and bolt.
INSTALL FRONT ASH RECEPTACLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Heater)
INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY (w/o Heater)
1. Engage the 2 claws.
2. Install the glove compartment door assembly with the 5 screws.
CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

Torque:

6.4 N*m { 65 kgf*cm, 56 in.*lbf }
REGISTRATION INJECTOR COMPENSATION CODE

Note

Register the injector compensation code of the fuel injector when the ECM is replaced.
