ECM REMOVAL


  1. CHECK FOR INJECTOR COMPENSATION CODE


    1. Check that the injection compensation code of the fuel injector installed on each cylinder match the ones registered in the ECM Click here.

      If they do not match, correct the registration details Click here.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT COVER LWR (w/ Heater)


    1. Remove the clip and bolt.

    2. Disengage the 5 clips and remove the instrument cover LWR.

  4. REMOVE FRONT ASH RECEPTACLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Heater)

  5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT COVER LOWER CENTER (w/ Heater)


    1. Remove the 2 clips and 2 bolts.

    2. Disengage the 3 clips and remove the instrument cover lower center.

  6. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY (w/o Heater)


    1. Remove the 5 screws.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the glove compartment door assembly.

  7. REMOVE ECM (w/ Heater)

    1. Disconnect the 5 connectors and remove the ECM.

    2. Remove the 4 screws.

    3. A01KFQS

      Remove the nut and remove the turbo motor driver.

    4. Remove the 4 screws and remove the ECM bracket No. 1.

    5. Remove the 4 screws and remove the ECM bracket No. 2.

  8. REMOVE ECM (w/o Heater)

    1. Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Disconnect the 5 connectors and remove the ECM.

      Remove the nut and remove the turbo motor driver.

    4. Remove the 2 screws and remove ECM bracket No. 1.

    5. Remove the 2 screws and remove ECM bracket No. 2.
