ECM REMOVAL


  1. CHECK FOR INJECTOR COMPENSATION CODE


    1. Check that the injection compensation code of the fuel injector installed on each cylinder match the ones registered in the ECM Click here.

      If they do not match, correct the registration details Click here.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  3. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT COVER (w/ Heater)

    1. Remove the clip and bolt.

    2. Detach the 5 clips and remove the lower instrument cover.

  4. REMOVE LOWER CENTER INSTRUMENT COVER (w/ Heater)

    1. Remove the 2 clips and 2 bolts.

    2. Detach the 3 clips and remove the lower center instrument cover.

  5. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY (w/o Heater)


    1. Remove the 5 screws.

    2. Detach the 2 claws and remove the glove compartment door assembly.

  6. REMOVE ECM (w/ Heater)

      Remove the 3 screws and remove the ECM.

    2. Disconnect the 6 connectors from the ECM.

      Remove the 2 screws and remove the No. 1 ECM bracket.

    4. Remove the 2 screws and remove the No. 2 ECM bracket.

  7. REMOVE ECM COVER (w/ Heater)

      Remove the ECM cover.

  8. REMOVE ECM (w/o Heater)

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Disconnect the 5 connectors and remove the ECM.

    3. A01KI03

      Remove the nut and remove the turbo motor driver.

    4. Remove the 2 screws and remove the No. 1 ECM bracket .

    5. Remove the 2 screws and remove the No. 2 ECM bracket .
