INSTALL REAR DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER OIL SEAL
Apply MP grease to the lip of a new oil seal.
Using a brass bar and hammer, tap in the oil seal.

Note
Be sure to tap the rear differential carrier oil seal uniformly so that it is not installed at an angle.
INSTALL REAR DRIVE PINION COMPANION FLANGE SUB-ASSEMBLY
Install the rear drive pinion companion flange sub-assembly on the drive pinion.
Temporarily install the 2 nuts to the bolts on the rear drive pinion companion flange sub-assembly.
Fix the rear drive pinion companion flange sub-assembly with the tire lever. Using a deep socket wrench (41 mm), install a new rear drive pinion nut.
Note
Ensure to install the 2 nuts so as not to break the bolt of the rear drive pinion companion flange sub-assembly.
Remove the 2 nuts and the 2 bolts.
INSTALL REAR DRIVE PINION NUT
Using SST and a hammer, stake a new rear drive pinion nut.
Note
Ensure that there is no crack on the staked part of the rear drive pinion nut.
Stake the nut completely as shown in the illustration.
INSTALL PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY
Align the matchmarks and install the propeller shaft assembly to the rear drive pinon companion flange sub-assembly with the 4 nuts and 4 bolts.
ADD DIFFERENTIAL OIL
Add oil.
