SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01CIT3

      Turn the shift lever knob counterclockwise and remove the shift lever knob sub-assembly.

  2. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE HOLE COVER


    1. A01CHHM

      Remove the screw and the parking brake hole cover.

  3. REMOVE SHIFTING HOLE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the 6 claws, and then remove the shifting hole cover sub-assembly.

  4. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER BOOT COVER


    1. A01CIEB

      Remove the 3 clips and shift lever boot cover.

  5. SEPARATE SHIFT AND SELECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE


    1. A01CIDN

      Remove the nut and disconnect the control shift cable from the shift lever assembly.

    2. Remove the clip and washer, and disconnect the control select cable from the shift lever assembly.

    3. A01CI4G

      Remove the 2 clips, and disconnect the shift and select transmission control cable from the shift lever retainer.

  6. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY


    1. A01CIGR

      Remove the 4 bolts and shift lever assembly.

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 CONTROL SHIFT LEVER RETAINER GROMMET


    1. A01CGZZ

      Remove the 4 No. 1 control shift lever retainer grommets and 4 shift lever retainer bushes from the shift lever assembly.
