SHIFT AND SELECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL SHIFT AND SELECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE


    1. Pass the shift and select transmission control cable from the engine side to the cabin side.

      Install the control shift cable to the shift lever with the nut.

      Torque:
      28 N*m  { 280 kgf*cm, 20 ft.*lbf }

    3. Install the control select cable to the select lever with the nut.

      Torque:
      28 N*m  { 280 kgf*cm, 20 ft.*lbf }

    4. Install 2 new clips to the No. 1 transmission control cable bracket.

      Install the shift and select transmission control cable to the transmission control cable clamp with the bolt.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

      Install the shift and select transmission control cable to the No. 2 transmission control cable bracket with the bolt.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

      Install the shift and select transmission control cable to the No. 3 transmission control cable bracket with the nut.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

      Install the a new transmission control cable clamp to shift and select transmission control cable.

      Install the transmission control cable clamp to the shift and select transmission control cable.

    10. Install the shift and select transmission control cable to the transmission control cable bracket.

    11. Install the shift and select transmission control cable to the 2 transmission control cable brackets with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

      Install the shift and select transmission control cable to the shift lever retainer with 2 new clips.

      Connect the control select cable to the shift lever assembly with the washer and clip.

    14. Install the control shift cable to the shift lever assembly with the nut.

      Torque:
      12 N*m  { 122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      The nut should be fully tightened after the shift lever position has been adjusted.

  3. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER BOOT COVER

      Install the shift lever boot cover with the 3 clips.

  4. INSTALL SHIFTING HOLE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Engage the 6 claws, and install the shifting hole cover sub-assembly.

  5. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE HOLE COVER


    1. A01CHHM

      Install the parking brake hole cover with the screw.

  6. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Turn the shift lever knob clockwise and install the shift lever knob sub-assembly.
