OIL PUMP INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL OIL PUMP ASSEMBLY


    1. A01CGT5E01

      Apply engine oil to the pump case of the cylinder block and the bearing.

      Note

      Failure to apply engine oil to the pump may cause poor lubrication, resulting in burning engine oil or abnormal engine wear.

    2. Install the new gasket.

    3. Install the oil pump assembly with the 7 bolts.

      Torque:
      29 N*m  { 290 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL NO. 1 IDLE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01CJ5UE01

      With the oil hole of the No. 1 idle gear sub-assembly facing down, align the matchmarks of each gear and insert the No. 1 idle gear sub-assembly into the cylinder block.

      Note

      Face the oil hole downward to avoid burning engine oil or abnormal engine wear.

    2. Install the No. 1 idle gear sub-assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:
      137 N*m  { 1397 kgf*cm, 101 ft.*lbf }
