EXHAUST PIPE REMOVAL


  1. TILT UP CAB

    CAUTION:


    • Make sure that the vehicle is on a level surface before tilting the cab up.

    • Make sure that all the doors are closed before tilting the cab up.

    • Make sure that nobody is inside or near the cab when tilting it up.

    • Be sure to have 2 people tilt the cab up when a heavy object such as a roof rack or cargo carrier is installed to the cab.

    • Be sure to remove anything set on top of the cab before tilting it up.

    • Make sure that the cab is securely locked in place after it is tilted up.

    • Make sure that there are no tools, cloths, etc. left in the engine room before tilting the cab back down.

    • Make sure that the cab is securely locked in place after tilting it back down.

  2. REMOVE EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR

  3. REMOVE TAILPIPE ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the 2 nuts and tailpipe assembly.

  4. REMOVE CATALYTIC WITH PIPE CONVERTER ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the 2 differential pressure sensor hoses from the catalytic with pipe converter assembly.

    2. Remove the 3 bolts.

    3. Disconnect the catalytic with pipe converter assembly from the front exhaust pipe assembly and remove the gasket.

    4. Remove the 3 nuts, 3 exhaust pipe support cushions and catalytic with pipe converter assembly.

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST PIPE HEAT INSULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 3 bolts and No. 1 exhaust pipe heat insulator sub-assembly.

  6. REMOVE VACUUM PIPE


    1. A01CHS1

      Disconnect the vacuum hose from the exhaust retarder assembly.

    2. Slide the clamp and disconnect the vacuum hose from the vacuum pipe.

    3. Remove the 2 bolts and vacuum pipe.

  7. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

      *2 Clamp

      Remove the clamp bolt and disconnect the clamp from the No. 1 exhaust pipe support bracket.

      *1 Gasket

      Remove the bolt, 2 nuts and front exhaust pipe assembly.

    3. Remove the gasket from the exhaust retarder assembly.
